Zusammenfassung:	A welding system includes a welder configured to output welding power to generate an arc between a welding electrode and a workpiece. The welding system also includes a power pin (34) configured to be coupled to the welder in a first orientation or a second orientation. The power pin is configured to switch the welding power from a first polarity to a second polarity when the power pin is switched from being coupled to the welder in the first orientation to being coupled to the welder in the second orientation. L'invention concerne un système de soudage comprenant un dispositif de soudage conçu pour produire une puissance de soudage afin de générer un arc entre une électrode de soudage et une pièce à travailler. Le système de soudage comprend également une broche d'alimentation conçue pour être accouplée au dispositif de soudage dans une première orientation ou une seconde orientation. La broche d'alimentation est conçue pour commuter la puissance de soudage depuis une première polarité en une seconde polarité lorsque la broche d'alimentation est commutée d'une position accouplée au dispositif de soudage dans la première orientation vers une position accouplée au dispositif de soudage dans la seconde orientation.
