INDUSTRIAL FABRICS COMPRISING INFINITY SHAPE COILS

A need existed for industrial fabrics which are easy to manufacture and have uniform characteristics throughout the length and width of the fabric. An on-machine fabric belt is easy to manufacture and is made from a plurality of lemniscate-shaped infinity coils having a first loop and a second loop. One of the first and second loops of a first infinity coil interdigitates with one of first and second loops of an adjacent infinity coil form an intersection region. A pintle extends through the passage, and one or more infinity coils are added to said first infinity coil or adjacent infinity coil until the required machine direction length of the fabric is achieved, resulting in the formation of a fabric belt with uniform characteristics. The infinity coils are formed from a monofilament, twisted multifilaments, or metal wire.
