Zusammenfassung:	There is provided herein a seal, including a substantially H-shaped sealing profile. The sealing profile, when viewed in cross section, comprises two longitudinal webs which are arranged adjacent one another and spaced apart from one another. A cross web connects the two longitudinal webs and forms a pivot joint about which the two longitudinal webs are pivotable in a clothes-peg-like manner relative to one another. Each longitudinal web comprises a peg arm at a first end and a sealing lip at a second end. The peg arm is shaped in the form of a latching lug and engages an installation groove of a machine element. The peg arms thereby provide a static seal for sealing the installation groove.
