Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for manufacturing electric resistance welded pipe, in which two across-opening-facing end parts (2a, 2b) of an open pipe (1) including an opening (2) extending in a running direction are melted by an induction current generated by an induction heating means and joined together at a join portion. The induction heating means includes a first induction coil (3), and the first induction coil (3) is disposed above the opening (2) so as not to encircle the outer circumference of the open pipe (1) and so that a primary current circuit is formed straddling the opening (2). L'invention concerne un dispositif de fabrication d'un tube soudé par résistance électrique qui assemble à la fois les sections d'extrémité (2a, 2b) d'un tuyau ouvert (1) au niveau d'une section d'assemblage, lesdites sections d'extrémité (2a, 2b) faisant face à une ouverture (2) du tuyau ouvert (1) qui s'étend dans le sens dans lequel court le tuyau. On effectue l'assemblage en faisant fondre les sections d'extrémité (2a, 2b) par un courant d'induction généré par un moyen de chauffage par induction. Le moyen de chauffage par induction comprend une première bobine d'induction (3). La première bobine d'induction (3) est disposée au-dessus de l'ouverture (2) sans entourer la périphérie externe du tube ouvert (1) de façon à former un circuit de courant primaire qui écarte l'ouverture (2).
