Zusammenfassung:	A method for heat-treating metal pipes wherein the metal pipes (1) to be introduced into a heat treatment furnace are placed on multiple beams (22) arranged in the lengthwise direction at intervals of 200-2,500 mm, and the metal pipes (1) in this state are heat-treated. With the method, it is possible to inhibit the metal pipes from curving or suffering scratches, without causing discoloration of the metal pipes or a decrease in production efficiency. When the metal pipes (1) are placed on the beams (22), the metal pipes (1) may be placed on the beams (22) through spacers. In this method for heat-treating metal pipes, it is preferred to use beams having a convex upper surface or spacers having a convex upper surface. Due to the use, scratching can be further inhibited.
