Zusammenfassung:A consumable component (84a) for use in an arc welding apparatus is provided that functions as both a contact tip and a diffuser. The consumable component (84a) includes a body (44) having an internal cavity (38) extending from a proximal end portion (64) to a distal end portion (46). At least one slot (84e) extends through an outer wall of the body (44), between the proximal end portion (64) and the distal end portion (46) and into the internal cavity (38). An exit orifice (40) extends through the distal end portion (46) of the body (44), defining a radiused inlet.
