Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method of purifying strong acids or strongly acidic media to remove di- and higher valent metal ions, which can be used within the context of the production of high-purity silica. The invention further relates to the use of special ion exchangers for carrying out the method according to the invention and the resultant high-purity silicas. La présente invention concerne un procédé d'épuration d'acides forts ou de milieux acides forts par la séparation d'ions métalliques bivalents et de valence supérieure, ledit procédé pouvant être utilisé dans le cadre de la production de dioxyde de silicium de grande pureté. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation d'échangeurs d'ions spéciaux pour la mise en uvre du procédé selon l'invention et les dioxydes de silicium de grande pureté ainsi obtenus.
