Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to polymers selected from among polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), polyvinylchloride (PVC) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), nylon and polystyrene, having antibacterial properties, wherein the antibacterial effect is obtained by adding a zinc salt selected from among: zinc PCA, zinc oxide, zinc hydroxide, zinc pyrrolidone or zinc pyrithione during the process of polymerization of the monomers. The antibacterial polymers are used to prepare products intended to enter into contact with the skin.
