Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a suction roll (12) for dewatering a fibrous web, comprising a rotatable and perforated suction roll jacket (1) and a suction box (7) in the interior of the suction roll (12). According to the invention, the suction box (7) comprises a first suction channel that extends in the interior of the roll (14) essentially along the axis of the suction roll. The suction box (7) also comprises a second suction channel (4) that extends in the interior of the roll (14) along the inner surface (13) of the suction roll jacket (1) and is delimited by seals (2, 2a). The first suction channel (3) is connected to the second suction channel (4) via at least one connecting channel (9).
