PRODRUGS OF METHYL HYDROGEN FUMARATE

Compounds of Formula (II) are provided: (see formula II) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein: R6 is C1-6 alkyl, substituted C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 heteroalkyl, substituted C1-6 heteroalkyl, C3-8 cycloalkyl, substituted C3-8 cycloalkyl, C6-8 aryl, substituted C6-8 aryl, or ¨OR10; wherein R16 is C1-6 alkyl, substituted C1-6 alkyl, C3-10 cycloalkyl, substituted C3-10 cycloalkyl, C6-10 aryl, or substituted C6-10 aryl; R7 and R8 are independently hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, or substituted C1-6 alkyl; and R9 is methyl; wherein each substituent group is independently, ¨OH, ¨CN, ¨CF3, =O, ¨NO2, benzyl, ¨ C(O)NR11 2, ¨R11, -OR11, ¨C(O)R11, -COOR11, or¨NR11 2 wherein each R11 is independently hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of Formula II, and methods of using compounds of Formula II and pharmaceutical compositions thereof for treating diseases such as psoriasis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, and arthritis are also disclosed.
