La présente invention concerne de nouveaux procédés d'augmentation de la tolérance d'une plante au stress environnemental abiotique, des procédés d'amélioration de la qualité et/ou du rendement d'une récolte d'une plante, des procédés d'application d'un cyclopropène comme le 1-MCP à une plante, et des récoltes produites en utilisant lesdits procédés.
