Zusammenfassung:	A layered system for producing a solar cell is disclosed, along with a method for producing the layered system, and a solar cell produced using the layered system. The layered system comprises: - a mild steel substrate provided with a protective coating layer provided with an embossed polymer coating layer for light scattering, wherein the embossed polymer coating layer is provided with an adhesion layer; - a solar cell back electrode following the shape of the embossed polymer coating layer and having a high light reflectivity, wherein the back electrode is a metal layer; - one or more photovoltaic active layers, which are capable of effectively transforming light into electricity; and - a transparent top electrode; - wherein the polymer coating layer comprises a crystallisable polymer.
