Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a method for extracting bitumen from an oil sand feed stream (10), the method comprising at least the steps of: (a) providing an oil sand feed stream (10); (b) contacting the oil sand feed stream (10) with an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent thereby obtaining a solvent-diluted oil sand slurry (20); (c) separating the solvent-diluted oil sand slurry (20), thereby obtaining a solids-depleted stream (80) and a solids-enriched stream (30); and (d) removing solvent from the solids-enriched stream (30) thereby obtaining a dry product (40) comprising sand and bitumen, wherein the bitumen in the dry product (40) comprises at least 40 wt.% asphaltenes.
