PROBIOTIC PREPARATION FOR THE PREVENTION OR TREATMENT OF CANINE GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDERS

The present invention relates to a probiotic preparation for preventing and treating canine gastrointestinal disorders containing at least two dog-specific strains of lactic acid bacteria belonging to genus Lactobacillus, a calcium source in an amount of 20 99 weight-% expressed as CaCO3 of the dry weight of the preparation, and at least one prebiotic, and optionally additional dog-specific strains of lacticacid bacteria, excipients and carriers. The invention further relates to a process for the manufacture of the probiotic preparation, to dog food comprising the probiotic preparation, and to the use of the probiotic preparation for the manufacture of a pharmaceutical product or a dog food product for preventing and treating canine gastrointestinal disorders. Cette invention concerne une préparation probiotique pour prévenir et traiter les troubles gastro-intestinaux chez le chien et contient au moins deux souches de bactéries d'acide lactique spécifiques du chien appartenant au genre Lactobacillus, une source de calcium en une quantité de 20 à 99 % en poids, exprimée sous forme de CaCO3 en poids sec de la préparation, et au moins un prébiotique, et éventuellement, des souches supplémentaires de bactéries d'acide lactique spécifiques du chien, des excipients et des véhicules. Cette invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication de ladite préparation probiotique, un aliment pour chien comprenant la préparation probiotique, et l'utilisation de la préparation probiotique dans la fabrication d'un produit pharmaceutique ou d'un produit alimentaire pour chien destiné à prévenir ou à traiter les troubles gastro-intestinaux chez le chien.
