PROCESS FOR SMOOTHING THE SURFACE OF A PART MADE OF CMC MATERIAL

A process for smoothing the surface of a part made from a ceramic matrix composite material having a rough and wavy surface. The process comprises depositing a refractory vitreous coating on the surface of the part (90), the vitreous coating essentially containing silica, alumina, baryte and lime.
