PERMEABLE BELT FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF TISSUE TOWEL AND NONWOVENS

A fabric structure used to make textured tissue or towel or nonwovens is disclosed. The structure provides for being permeable to air and water for enhanced dewatering as compared to an impermeable belt, comprising a sheet contact surface having a pattern including a series of raised land areas and corresponding depressions that impart a texture to the tissue or towel or nonwoven, and a series of voids that allow passage of both water and/or air from the fabric surface into and/or through the structure. The voids are only in the land area, in the depressions or in both land area and the depressions. A specific pattern of lands/depressions/voids may aid sheet transfer to the Yankee cylinder and consequently, uniform creping. The structure would cause minimum sheet rewet compared to a woven porous structure or a conventional press fabric.
