Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to compounds of the general formula (I) (see formula I) or the acid addition salts thereof with organic and/or inorganic acids; as well as to the use of the compounds of the general formula (1) in the medical field, specifically for use in the suppression of DNA synthesis and inflammatory cytokine production as well as in the stimulation of anti--inflammatory cytokine production in vitro and in vivo. The invention also relates to pharmaceuti-cally effective compositions comprising at least one compound of the general formula (I), op-tionally together with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carrier(s), auxiliary substance(s) and/or adjuvant(s) or cosmetically effective compositions comprising at least one compound of the general formula (I), optionally in combination with one or more cosmetically acceptable car-rier(s), auxiliary substance(s) and/or adjuvant(s).
