Zusammenfassung:An apparatus and a method for controlling a flow of pulp suspension from a container (104, 204) where the pulp suspension is processed and/or stored, which container (104, 204) is pressurized to a pressure (p?) and is provided with at least one outlet (108, 110, 206) for the outflow of pulp suspension, a pump device (112), provided with an inlet means (114) and an outlet means (116), via its inlet means (114) being connected (301) to the container (104, 204). Pulp suspension is fed into the pump device (112) via the inlet means (114) and is fed out from the pump device (112) via the outlet means (116). The pump device (112) is forced to provide a controlled decrease in pressure (?p) which the pulp suspension is subjected to in the pump device (112) during its transport from the inlet means (114) to the outlet means (116), and the flow from the container (104, 204) is controlled by adjusting the controlled decrease in pressure (?p).
