BRUSH

A multipurpose brush has an ergonomically shaped, substantially plate-like and elastically deformable brush body (10) with a substantially planar top side (12) and a substantially planar underside (11) and curved side peripheries (13). Elastic, substantially conical currycomb elements (20) are arranged on the underside (11). Tooth-like comb elements (30) are located on the top side (12) of the brush body (10). The currycomb elements serve for the deep, thorough brushing of the fur of an animal to be brushed, and the comb elements serve for combing out and for smoothing the fur. The currycomb elements and comb elements are shaped and arranged such that, depending on the direction in which the brush is moved over the fur, different levels of currying or combing are achieved. The brush can also be used as a cloth brush or for upholstered furniture and carpets.
