Zusammenfassung:	A proximity sensor may be incorporated as part of a water delivery device. In one illustrative embodiment, a valve is in fluid communication with a fluid conduit of a water delivery device. The water delivery device further includes an illumination module which emits a plurality of spatially spaced apart beams of optical energy into a detection zone and a sensor which receives optical energy reflected from an object positioned in the detection zone. The water delivery device includes a controller that controls the position of the valve based on whether the presence of the object is detected.
