The process for producing a tea drink comprising the steps of: preparing a tea leaf extract having a theanine content of 40 ppm to 210 ppm ; exposing the prepared tea leaf extract to an anaerobic condition; subjecti ng the tea leaf extract under the anaerobic condition to a heat treatment at 100°C or higher in a hermetically-sealed condition; and packing the heat-tr eated tea leaf extract in an airtight container is provided.
