Also provided are use of recombinant porcine pancreatic trypsin variants for cleavage of precursors of insulins, and kits containing the variant of trypsin. L'invention concerne la production d'un variant de la trypsine recombinée grâce à la spécificité améliorée d'un substrat pour l'arginine versus lysine chez des organismes hôtes non animaux. De plus, l'invention concerne un variant de la trypsine recombinée et sa production, ainsi que l'utilisation de variants de la trypsine pancréatique porcine recombinée destinée au clivage des précurseurs de l'insuline, et des kits contenant le variant de la trypsine.
