Zusammenfassung:	Processes for making photosensitive organic pigments for use in imaging members, specifically processes for making a photosensitive phthalocyanine pigments having a specific crystal form, comprising dissolving the pigment in a mixture of a haloacetic acid and alkylene halide to form a solution, precipitating the pigment by adding the solution to a non-solvent system, the solution comprised of one or more organic solvents and a small amount of water, wherein the amount of water controls the crystal form of the pigment, follow ed by a treatment with a halobenzene to obtain a highly photosensitive second crystal form of the pigment.
