Zusammenfassung:	A calibration system is provided. The calibration system includes a fixtur e for defining a first coordinate system, a chassis (20), a sensor (10) couple d to the fixture, and a plurality of sensor elements (14) oriented to form a misalign ed coordinate system (28) having misaligned coordinate axes oriented at other than right angles with respect to each other, wherein a sensor output is mathematically compensated such that the misaligned coordinate system corresponds with the first coordinate system. A method for calibrating sensors is also provided.
