Zusammenfassung:	An electrical cord assembly (10) configured for use with an electrical appliance includes a cord (12, 52) having a polygonal end (16, 56) with a first pair of cord sides (18, 60) and a second pair of cord sides (20, 62), wherein one of the pairs of first and second cord sides is asymmetrical, a socket (14, 54) defining a polygonal opening (22, 58) constructed and arranged for receiving the polygonal end (1 6, 56), the polygonal opening having a first pair of socket sides (24, 64) and a second pair of socket sides (26, 66), wherein one of the pairs of first and second socket sides is asymmetrical, and wherein the polygonal end (16, 56) and the polygonal opening (22, 58) ar e shaped for releasable mating engagement.
