The reticulated material can be used with other conventional filter media within the vessel. L'invention porte sur un procédé qui permet d'éliminer les contaminants d'un liquide à traiter, selon lequel on utilise un matériau réticulé pour filtrer le liquide à traiter dans un récipient situé en amont d'une unité de traitement. Le matériau réticulé peut être utilisé avec d'autres milieux filtrants traditionnels à l'intérieur du récipient.
