Zusammenfassung: | Methods for treating ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction in a human patient 75 years of age or older. The methods comprise administering a dose of less than 1 mg per kg body weight, about .75 mg per kg of body weight, or .7 5 mg per kg of body weight of enoxaparin sodium by subcutaneous injection approximately every twelve hours for a therapeutic dosing period. The method s may include fibrinolytic therapy. The treatment methods may be used to preve nt one or more of, mortality, myocardial re-infarction, myocardial ischemia, stroke, or severe congestive heart failure. Articles of manufacture for use in connection with treating ST segment elevation myocardial infarction in a hum an patient 75 years of age or older are also disclosed. The articles of manufacture comprise enoxaparin sodium, and instructions designed to achieve administration to a patient of a dose of less than 1 mg per kg body weight, about .75 mg per kg of body weight, or .75 mg per kg of body weight of enoxaparin sodium, by subcutaneous injection approximately every twelve hour s for a therapeutic dosing period. |
