Zusammenfassung:	A hinge for a foldable ladder, comprising: first and second hinge plates (44 0, 450) rotatably connected by a shaft (410) and defining a cavity; a hinge lat ch (460) translatable between a locked position and an unlocked position and disposed at least partially within said cavity, said hinge latch comprising a first opening configured to receive a first biasing member (408), a second opening (464) configured to receive a locking member (902), and a locking portion (461) protruding from said hinge latch; and a locking member (902) t o engage said second opening when said hinge latch is moved into said unlocked position by means of said first biasing member (408) and to secure said hing e latch in said unlocked position. Rotational movement of a plate relative to the other is permitted when said hinge latch is secured in said unlocked position by means of said locking member (902).
