The magnitude of fuel overpressure may be varied in accordance with variations in the fuel cell operating parameters. L'invention concerne un système de pile à combustible mis en oeuvre au moyen d'une pression d'alimentation du combustible supérieure à celle de l'oxydant dans la pile à combustible. Des performances améliorées peuvent ainsi être obtenues, notamment quand le système de pile à combustible est fermé sur le côté combustible. L'amplitude de la surpression du combustible peut être modifiée en fonction des variations des paramètres de fonctionnement de la pile à combustible.
