SURFACE OWNERSHIP DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A system, method, and computer program for gathering and managing ownership data for properties in a geographic area on which an asset, such as a pipeline is located. The method includes the steps of: (a) gathering and storing in computer memory the ownership data; (b) obtaining a graphical representation of the asset; (c) linking the ownership data with the graphical representation of the asset; (d) displaying the graphical representation of the asset on a computer monitor; (e) permitting a user to select a portion of the graphical representation of the asset; and (f) in response to step (e), retrieving from the memory and displaying the ownership data associated with the selected portion of the graphical representation of the asset. Il s'agit d'un système, d'une méthode et d'un programme informatique qui permettent de recueillir et de gérer des données d'appartenance pour des propriétés dans une zone comportant des biens, comme un pipeline. Cette méthode comprend les étapes qui suivent : a) la collecte et le stockage en mémoire des données d'appartenance; b) l'obtention d'une représentation graphique du bien; c) la liaison des données d'appartenance avec la représentation graphique des biens; d) l'affichage de la représentation graphique des biens sur un moniteur d'ordinateur; e) la possibilité pour l'utilisateur de sélectionner une partie de la représentation graphique des biens; et f) en réponse à l'étape e), l'extraction de la mémoire et l'affichage des données d'appartenance associées à la partie sélectionnée de la représentation graphique des biens.
