Zusammenfassung:	A polyester composition which comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplast ic polyester and 0.1 to 50 parts by weight of a partially aromatic polyamide, wherein the polyester composition has an alkali metal atom content in the range of 0.1 to 300 ppm and preferably has a phosphorus atom content of 5 to 200 ppm, and further preferably provides a molded product having a Color-L value of 80.0 or more by the injection molding at 290 ~C and a haze of 20 % or less; and a polyester packaging material comprising the polyester compositio n. The partially aromatic polyamide is preferably a polyamide containing a metaxylylene group. The polyester composition can provide a formed product being excellent in transparency, heat stability, fragrance holding property and gas barrier property.
