A metho d for straightening hair strands on a scalp region wherein hair to be straightened is passed under tension between a gripping means (1) , wherein the gripping means (1) provides a heating means (21) , and a styling active comprising nonvolatile compounds, wherein the styling active is delivered as droplets having a Dv(90) of less than about 30 microns.
