The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds capable of stimulation of glucose Oxidation, methods for increasing glucose oxidation rates in myocardial cells, and methods of treatment of myocardial ischemia. La présente invention concerne de nouveaux composés de formule (I) qui stimulent les taux d'oxydation du glucose dans des cellules myocardiques, W, Cyc, p, Y, X, Z, R, R?1¿, R?2¿, R?3¿, R?4¿, i et n étant tels que définis dans la formule (I) susmentionnée. L'invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques comprenant des composés à même de stimuler l'oxydation du glucose, des méthodes permettant d'augmenter les taux d'oxydation du glucose dans des cellules myocardiques ainsi que des méthodes de traitement de l'ischémie myocardique.
