Zusammenfassung:A system for identifying a user, said system comprising: means (5,7,21,23,25,27,29) for deriving a digital representation of an analogue fo rm entered by the user, said analogue form being distinctive of the user; and means (151,153,155,157,159) for grading said digital representation against a plurality of grades, said grades being defined dependent upon possible variation in said analogue form, said grades ensuring the same grading of sa id analogue form notwithstanding said variation, the graded digital representation constituting an identification of the user.
