Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of hexahydro-furo [2,3-b]furan[2.3-b]furan-3-ol of formula 7 (see formula 7) as well as novel intermediates for use in said method. More in particular the invention relates to a stereoselective method for the preparation of hexahydro-furan-3-ol, and to a method amenable to industrial scaling up. L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation d'un hexahydro-furo[2,3-b]furane-3-ol et à de nouveaux intermédiaires utilisés dans ce procédé. L'invention se rapporte plus particulièrement à un procédé stéréosélectif de préparation d'un hexahydro-furo[2,3-b]furane-3-ol et à un procédé destiné à augmenter la fabrication à la chaîne.
