Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to an improved heteropolymer complex. The improved heteropolymer complex comprises a first monoclonal antibody specific for a C3b- like receptor (known as complement receptor (CRl) or CD35 in primates and Factor H in other mammals, e.g., dog, mouse, rat, pig, rabbit) site chemically crosslinked (covalently linked) to a second monoclonal antibody, in which the isotype of at least the second monoclonal antibody is the isotype having the highest affinity for the Fc receptor, e.g., in humans, IgGl or IgG3. The present invention also relates to methods for immune clearance of an antigen in a mammal via the C3b-like receptor comprising administering to said mammal an improved heteropolymer complex of the invention. The present invention also relates to methods for treating or preventing viral infection or microbial infection in a mammal comprising administering to said mammal an improved heteropolymer complex of the invention. The present invention also relates to methods for treating or preventing septic shock in a mammal comprising administering to said mammal an improved heteropolymer complex of the invention. The present invention also relates to methods for treating cancer in a mammal comprising administering to said mammal an improved heteropolymer complex of the invention. The present invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment or prevention of viral infection, microbial infection, septic shock, and cancer comprising an improved heteropolymer complex of the invention.
