Zusammenfassung:	Low VOC content brake cleaner compositions useful for removing oil and particulate contamination from braking system components of vehicles such as automobiles are reported. The brake cleaner compositions comprise about 5 % to about 30 % by weight methyl acetate; about 25 % to about 50 % of a hydrocarb on according to the formula (I) CnH2n+x, where n is 5 to 8 and x is 0 or 2; and about 25 % to about 55 % by weight acetone.
