Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a fuel tank consisting of plastic, especially a motor vehicle fuel tank consisting of plastic, comprising one or more weld seams (2) serving as the joins of the tank body and/or as the connecting or sealing seams between the tank wall (3) in the area of the openings and the lids or connection elements welded thereto. The inventive fuel tank is characterised in that at least some of the weld seams (2) are at least partially traversed by a channel (10) extending in a longitudinal direction, which can be ventilated and deventilated.
