Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus (10) for dispensing carbonated beverages includes a housing (30 ), an ice bin (32), a carbonator (20) and a cold plate(14). The ice bin (32) is disposed within the housing (30) for storing ice and is surrounded by therma l insulation (34). The carbonator (20) is disposed within the housing (30) adjacent the ice bin (32) and receives water and CO2 gas to form carbonated water. The thermal insulation (34) is disposed between the carbonator (20) a nd the ice bin (32) such that the ice bin (32) is thermally insulated from the carbonator (20). The cold plate (14) is chilled by the ice in the ice bin (3 2) and includes pre-chilled coils (16a) for cooling the water to be supplied to the carbonator and post-chilling coils for cooling the carbonated water flowing from the carbonator (20).
