METHOD FOR DETERMINING AMOUNTS OF SUSPENDED PARTICULATE MATTERS, A SAMPLING TUBE FOR DETERMINING THE SUSPENDED PARTICULATE MATTER, AND ASAMPLING KIT FOR DETERMINING THE SUSPENDEDPARTICULATE MATTER

A method for determining a suspended particulate matter which comprises passing a gas containing a suspended particulate matter through a capturing material, to render the capturing material to adsorb the suspended particula te matter in the gas, measuring the amount of the atomic species and molecular species having a lone electron pair contained in the suspended particulate matter adsorbed by the capturing material using the electron spin resonance method, and determining the amount of the suspended particulate matter in th e gas, based on the measured amount of the atomic species and molecular specie s having a lone electron pair; and a sampling tube and a sampling kit for use in the method. The method can be used for measuring an amount of a suspended particulate matter contained in an exhaust emission gas with accuracy and wi th ease.
