PORTABLE INFORMATION APPARATUS

A file managing table is provided for recording each file to be managed and as file selection conditions, a day of the week, time zone, current user position, and storing position information, on an original file, of an applicable file on a network. A file matching a current day and a current us er position as file selection conditions is retrieved at a current point of tim e and based on the file managing table. When a file matching file selection conditions is not found in the storage device of a portable information apparatus (10), the file is downloaded from an original file storing positio n on a network for storing into an internal storage device. Thereby, a portabl e information apparatus is provided that can be operated to retain a file, highly accessible at a current point of time or a current position, in an internal storage device without requiring user's decision of a choice and operation.
