Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a semiconductor laser module that limits overcurrent to a thermoelectric module. In a thermoelectric module (5), a reverse current from a lead pin (16f) to a lead pin (16a) causes thermoelectric heating, whi le a current from the lead pin (16a) to the lead pin (16f) causes thermoelectri c cooling. Overcurrent protection means (20) limits the overcurrent for heatin g. The overcurrent protection means (20) includes a bypass (21), a resistor (22 ) and a diode (23). For heating, the diode (23) turns on to divert part of the current to the bypass (21), thereby limiting the overcurrent to the thermoelectric module (5).
