METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A SWITCHING SYSTEM

The invention relates to a method for controlling a switching system which comprises a central control unit (MP) and a plurality of peripheral devices. According to said method, one of said peripheral devices (AE) transmits a request message (mdg) to the control unit (MP) which performs actions (ak1, ak2, akn) of said switching control device based on said request message. If said actions are successively completed, a corresponding completion message (dfn) is transmitted to the concerned peripheral device. Each request messag e (mdg), which is opened by a peripheral device (AE) and whose completion message has not arrived yet at the time of transmission after a predetermine d stand-by time (tw), is transmitted back to the control unit. Said process is repeated until a corresponding completion message (dfn) is received. The control unit (MP) ignores the actions to be performed which are related to a request message (mdg) when these actions have already been completed by previous request messages.
