Zusammenfassung:In a telephone network, a service control point (4) is called by a switchin g centre (2), if a flag has previously been set by some event, e.g. call charg es crossing a threshold or the leaving of a voice mail message, when a call is being established or terminated. The switching centre (2) then operates in accordance with commands returned by the service control point (4). If no flags have been set the service control point (4) is not called, the call is treated by the switching centre (2) in a default manner.
