Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a gaseous phase fluidized-bed reactor for the polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers. Said reactor comprises a reactor chamber (1) in the shape of a vertical tube, and preferably an equalizing zone (2) which connects to the upper part of the reactor chamber. The reactor also comprises a circulating gas line (3), a circulating gas compressor (4), and a cooling device (5).
