Zusammenfassung:	A process for producing a hard capsule characterized by dispersing a water-soluble cellulose derivative in hot water, cooling the dispersion to dissolve the derivative in the water, adding a gellant to the aqueous solution and dissolving the same, dipping a pin for capsule formation in the resultant capsule-forming liquid at a given temperature, subsequently pulling up the pin, and then causing the capsule-forming liquid adherent to the pin to gel.
