TERMINAL DEVICE

The present invention relates to a terminal device that is convenient for use by a visually handicapped or an aged person. A terminal device is provided which notifies an operator of the meaning of a key pressed by the operator. The terminal device produces a sound signal which is corresponds to the meaning or function of the key that is pressed. When the operator has been made aware of the function of the key, data corresponding to the key is input into the system. In this way, input errors made by a person, particularly a visually handicapped or aged person can be reduced or eliminated.
