Zusammenfassung:1,5-Benzodiazepine derivatives represented by formula (I), salts thereof, and medicines containing the same as the active ingredient: (see formula I) [wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxyl group, or a halogen atom; each of R2 and R3, which may be the same or different, represents a hydrogen atom, an alkenyl group, an alkyl group, a phenyl group, an acyl group, etc; and each of R4 and R5, which may be the same or different, represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a carboxyl group, etc.]. The compounds exhibit excellent gastrin and/or CCK-B receptor antagonism and are useful as remedies for gastric ulcer and gastrointestinal movement disorder.
