This system comprises several actuators (A1-A6), each associated to at least one final control element, for affecting certain properties of the fiber web that is to be produced. The actuators (A1-A6) are intelligent components of a decentralized communication/hardware structure (10), in which they are coupled together via a closed pipeline ring (12) and/or a local LAN network.
