STAINED BITUMINOUS MATERIALS, PROCESS FOR OBTAINING SAID MATERIALS AND COLOURING COMPOUND FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROCESS

L'invention consiste en un procédé d'obtention de matériaux bitumineux teintés consistant à : - appliquer sur au moins une face du matériau à traiter une composition colorante aqueuse à base de pigments et de résine dont le domaine de solubilité est restreint, - sécher le matériau revêtu de la composition colorante, - puis l'imprégner de bitume. A resin and pigment based material for obtaining tinted bituminous materials comprises: (i) 5-20 wt.% of a resin with limited solubility; (ii) 5-40 wt.% of pigments; (iii) 0.1-5 wt.% of an additive with hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties, and (iv) 90-60 wt.% of water. The preparation of the coloring composition for obtaining tinted bituminous materials consists of: (i) dissolving a resin in water at a weight ratio of 30-70% of resin and 30-70% of water; (ii) addition of an additive 0.5-3 wt.% w.r.t. resin, with hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties in the resulting mixture from (i); (iii) addition of an adequate amount of water to precipitate the resin; (iv) addition of pigments 50-150 wt.% w.r.t. resin, in powdered form. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of the tinted bituminous materials comprising: (i) applying the coloring composition on one face of the material or applying an aqueous solution of resin on the face of a fibrous material free of the coloring composition; (ii) drying the coated material and (iii) impregnating the material with bitumen.
